These Terms govern your use of Sparrow Grid’s services. By ordering or using our services, you agree to them.
1. Definitions
- We / Us: Sparrow Grid.
- You: The customer (individual or business) using our services.
- Services: Hosting, domains, DNS, email, Managed Site Build (“Help Me” via SitePad), add-ons, and support.
2. Scope of Services
- Hosting: We provide shared/reseller hosting via upstream providers and handle provisioning, DNS (on request), and platform support.
- Managed Site Build (Help Me / SitePad): You pick a theme from sitepad.com/themes, we apply your branding/content, and publish to your hosting.
- Not included: e-commerce builds, custom web apps or database integrations, SEO guarantees, extensive copywriting, legal/compliance vetting of your content, desktop/on-site IT support, or paid third-party licenses/assets (unless quoted).
3. Orders & Provisioning
We display clear pricing (incl. taxes/fees), timelines, and key policies. You can review/correct your order before checkout. Services are provisioned after successful payment.
4. Domains
- Registrant & ownership: Domains are registered in your name from day one on the DIY package. Domains are registered in our name from day one up to 3 months on the Help Me package. You may request the EPP/auth code and transfer the domain at any time, subject to normal registrar rules (e.g., initial 60-day lock for new regs) and standard fees.
- Administration: Sparrow Grid may be listed as technical/administrative contact for provisioning convenience; this doesn’t affect your ownership.
- Non-refundability: Domain registrations/transfers/renewals are generally non-refundable once submitted.
- Renewals/expiry: Keep contact details current and renew on time. Late recovery may incur registry/administration fees.
5. Billing & Payments
- All services are prepaid.
- Non-payment may result in suspension or termination.
- Prices may change; renewals are at the then-current rate.
- Chargebacks are a breach; we may suspend services pending resolution.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
See our Refund Policy for details, including the 30-day guarantee for Help Me, the 3-month minimum, domain non-refundability, and site export.
7. Help Me Package (SitePad)
- Flow: Choose theme → provide content → draft → one round of edits → publish.
- Included edits: One reasonable round on the first draft; after launch, up to 3 small revisions per month. Larger changes quoted.
- Minimum term: 3 months total for Help Me subscriptions.
- 30-day guarantee: Within 30 days of first activation, you may cancel with no penalty: we refund our month-one fee (minus non-recoverable third-party costs like the domain) and provide a site export on request.
- Cancel after 30 days: If you cancel before completing 3 months, you pay only the remaining months to reach 3. After 3 months, cancel any time effective end of the current billing cycle.
- Website export: On cancellation or request, we provide a SitePad export/backup (one export included at cancellation). Additional exports or assisted migrations can be quoted.
- Your content & licensing: You own your content. SitePad templates/plugins are licensed while hosted; if moving, migration depends on SitePad compatibility or an export/rebuild.
8. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Prohibited: illegal content, malware, spam, harassment, high-risk/prohibited content, resource abuse, copyright infringement, phishing, impersonation. Breaches may lead to throttling, suspension, or termination.
9. Backups & Uptime
- Backups: We run best-effort backups; you should keep your own copies for mission-critical data.
- Uptime: We target high availability but 100% is not guaranteed. Scheduled maintenance and upstream incidents occur.
10. Support
Standard support via ticket/email for hosting platform issues and in-scope Help Me tweaks. Out-of-scope work is quoted.
11. Data Protection
We process personal information per our Privacy Policy and POPIA.
12. Takedowns & Abuse
We comply with valid takedown requests. Report abuse to administrator@sparrowgrid.com with sufficient detail.
13. Suspension & Termination
We may suspend/terminate for AUP breaches, non-payment, or legal risk. After termination, data may be deleted following a retention window.
14. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect/consequential losses (lost profits, interruption, lost data). Our total liability is capped at fees paid for the affected service in the preceding three (3) months.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change; material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice.
